Please don't think me an idiot but is it really Bucky? I don't read comics nor do I read up on any of this stuff online but I do love your blog. I had always put off watching Captain America because I wasn't really a fan of his back story but the other day I finally caved and am in love with Captain America and nearly cried when Bucky fell. I really don't mind being spoiled.. tell me anything and everything.
sorry this is so late but i’ve just been insanely busy lately.
It is Bucky but it sort of isn’t as well. In the comics, Bucky is presumed dead after a plane explodes and some Russians find Bucky frozen but he’s lost an arm and his memories. They train him to be a super assassin and brain wash him to be loyal to them and give him a bitching metal arm. He’s given the the name ‘The Winter Soldier’ and he does all the Soviet’s dirty work. He’s only brought out on special missions as he’s such an asset and cryogenically frozen in between because freezing people back then seemed to be the fashion or something idk everyone was doing it. During this, he trains Natasha to become an assassin as well and they are lovers for a period #drama. So technically it is Bucky but its not him consciously. Which just makes its so good bc Bucky was always the one to do the things Captain America was never able to be seen doing and ugh. Anyway this just means CA2 is going to be deliciously painful with steve seeing bucky’s alive but bucky not recognizing him and steve going to have to try and make him remember him through the power of love and bucky’s going to realize what’s he’s done when he does remember. i can’t fucking wait
Does Norse mythology and Norse gods and all that relate to the comic books or the movies or both? I haven't read the books and have recently become obsessed with Loki but I don't know much about their back stories or anything, so if your feeling bored you could give me a whole explanation ;) haha
the comics are heavily based on the myths but it does vary by how much goes into it. it would be impossible to fit in all the myths into the comic as its so extensive and some is contradictory and say different things. like in the myths loki wasn’t odin’s son but his blood brother. Loki’s origin changes depending on what you’re reading; predominantly in the comics loki is thor’s adopted brother but i think he knew he was a frost giant when odin takes him in. Like most comics; facts change depending on who’s writing it, but at the moment what happened is old loki died and thor found his reincarnation as a small boy but old man loki’s spirit was still inside a magpie and then old magpie loki killed kid loki and took over his body and is now going around in now teen loki’s body. it makes more sense when you read it.
THANK YOU♡♥ Im already obsessed and watching Hiddleston interviews every five seconds but I just dont know much about all the names and stuff, anything that isnt completely explained in the movies:P I didnt click with the laufeyson.. makes sense now♥
